There’s really no need to go overboard with whatsisname --- Kevin Pietersen, wasn’t it ? --- when made captain, winning the first 5 matches (1 dead test and 4 ODI-s) in a row against a team which only wanted to go home after winning the test series.
That’s not to excuse the weird thought processes of the Saffas --- I mean what ? All they wanted to do after winning the test series was to go home ?! No wonder they got booed. The only Saffa whose mind seemed to me to be to be present in the field after winning the test-series was … … Oh well, never mind, it’s history.
Now let’s see what happens to whatsisname in the subcont. It’s the worst place to tour, right ? Beefy said that way long back.
And Fred. He has done so well. And Harmy too. But mind, it’s at home. I am never confident about Harmy once he is out of UK. Apparently his mind goes weird. And Fred has the additional responsibility of Harmy-sitting once offshore.
